Cancer focused biotech startup Immuneel Therapeutics has secured more than Rs 100 crore in a Series B funding round. The round attracted participation from Singularity AMC, Rainmatter by Zerodha, several high net worth individuals, and existing investors including Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Eight Roads Ventures, and F Prime Capital.
The funding marks an important milestone as the company prepares for its next phase of growth in both domestic and international markets.
Advanced cancer therapies such as CAR T treatments have traditionally been expensive and concentrated in a limited number of markets.
Immuneel is working to change that equation by developing and commercialising cell and gene therapies from India. The latest investment signals growing investor confidence in the country’s ability to contribute meaningfully to the future of advanced oncology treatments.
Immuneel develops cell and gene therapies designed to treat cancer through highly personalised treatment approaches.
The company was co founded by Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Siddhartha Mukherjee, and Kush M Parmar with the goal of making advanced cancer treatments more accessible while maintaining global standards of quality and efficacy.
A key focus for the company is the commercial rollout of Qartemi, its CAR T therapy.
According to the company’s leadership, early commercialisation efforts have demonstrated the ability to deliver high quality CAR T outcomes at significantly lower costs compared to many Western markets.
This positions Immuneel as one of the emerging players in the rapidly evolving cell therapy sector.
The newly raised capital will support several strategic initiatives.
These include expanding GMP manufacturing capacity, advancing the company’s cell and gene therapy pipeline, supporting the commercialisation of Qartemi, and accelerating expansion across Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern markets.
The company is also actively pursuing clinical co development partnerships in Australia and Southeast Asia.
Immuneel’s leadership sees the company as more than a biotech startup.
Its long term ambition is to establish India as a globally competitive destination for advanced cell and gene therapies by combining scientific innovation, scalable manufacturing, and improved affordability.
As demand for personalised cancer treatments continues to grow worldwide, Immuneel is positioning itself at the intersection of healthcare innovation and global accessibility.
