Bengaluru based extracurricular learning platform Upkraft has raised Rs 1.6 crore in a Pre Seed funding round led by PedalStart. The round also included participation from angel investors, entrepreneurs, operators, and members of the early stage startup ecosystem.
The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its AI products, expand its presence in Bengaluru and Gurugram, improve its technology platform, and enhance customer experience.
India’s extracurricular learning market continues to grow as parents increasingly seek structured activities that help children develop skills beyond academics. Despite the demand, the sector remains highly fragmented, making it difficult for families to find trusted tutors and consistent learning experiences.
Upkraft aims to address these challenges by combining technology with standardized learning programs and measurable progress tracking.
Founded in July 2025 by Tejasvi Singh Kushwah, Varun Mangal, and Kritika Varandani, Upkraft provides structured extracurricular learning through verified tutors who teach students at home, in residential communities, and in schools.
Its platform combines level based curricula with AI powered tools that personalize practice while giving parents better visibility into student progress.
The company is developing an AI Practice Companion that offers personalized feedback, adaptive learning, intelligent practice tracking, and performance analytics.
It also plans to introduce classroom management and productivity tools for tutors, improve parent dashboards, and expand its curriculum across more extracurricular subjects.
Over the next 12 to 18 months, Upkraft plans to increase student enrollments, strengthen its presence in Bengaluru and Gurugram, and improve learning outcomes.
The startup also intends to expand its product, engineering, AI, data science, sales, marketing, customer success, and tutor operations teams before pursuing larger institutional funding for expansion in India and international markets.
