Indian construction technology startup Fixxly has secured $5.5 million in seed funding from Accel, Fireside Ventures, and Lightspeed India Partners. The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its technology platform and expand operations ahead of its commercial launch on 1 September 2026.
Building material procurement in India remains fragmented, with contractors and homeowners often relying on multiple local suppliers and unpredictable delivery schedules. Faster and more reliable procurement could improve productivity across construction and home improvement projects.
Founded in 2026 by Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma, Fixxly is developing an AI powered procurement and delivery platform for construction and home improvement materials. The platform will offer products such as plywood, paint, electrical equipment, lighting, plumbing supplies, and hardware for professionals as well as homeowners.
Fixxly plans to use a network of local dark stores supported by AI driven technology that matches customer orders with product availability, location, and demand in real time. The company says some orders can be delivered within 30 minutes, helping reduce delays at construction sites.
Co founder Shezan Bhojani brings more than two decades of experience in the home improvement industry and previously helped establish DesignCafe. His experience in the sector gives the company a strong understanding of the challenges faced by contractors and homeowners.
The company will begin operations in Bengaluru before expanding to other Indian cities. The fresh investment will support technology development and operational expansion as Fixxly prepares for its commercial rollout.
