You want the perfect pair of shorts but Orion Mall is 30 mins away—thanks, Bangalore traffic.

Cabs? Unavailable. Online delivery? Takes 2 days.

You need them tonight.

If only someone could deliver clothes in under 60 minutes…

Slikk does exactly that. Fashion, at your door—fast.

Gulati, co-founder of Slikk, recommends people do what has not been done. He feels that fast fashion, food and groceries are all worked upon: the one thing that remains untouched is the pharmacy sectory.

Slikk: The BlinkIt For Fashion

Slikk started as an idea in the young and energetic mind of Akshay Gulati.

The idea was simple: Deliver fashion under 60 minutes with the option of TRY and BUY, a customer can either keep all the clothing they ordered, keep partial clothing or return everything they ordered.

He built this idea into reality with the help of Om Prakash and Bipin Singh, his co-workers at Amazon, who are now the co-founders of Slikk.

Slikk was founded in 2024. The company, also known as Slikk Club, was launched in August 2024.

The app has over 1L+ downloads since its inception.

Slikk’s marketing motto was clear: Spend less on marketing and focus more on product-market fit. They did not have a referral programme for the first few months, and still grew month on month.

They spent very little on advertising. As Gulati mentions, it is very easy to burn and earn in this era of startups, but Slikk’s holy grail is to see if the product is being accepted or not by the customers, and how they can maximise their customer satisfaction and deliver smooth services.

Slikk has the vision of delivering instant gratification through fashion.

It has a great variety of options such as The Souled Store, Freakins, Bewakoof, Dillinger, etc. It delivers to selected pin codes in Bangalore as of now.

It chose to be a Bangalore-based start-up because Gulati felt that it is easy to get power users in Bangalore and, from a hiring perspective, people are “more hungry” in Bangalore because they have seen how startups can influence the world.

He believes that they can see a broader vision for startups and know that large-scale changes can happen through them.

Slikk: Letting the numbers speak

Slikk has raised a total of $13.5 million in funding:

Pre-Seed Round: Raised $300,00K

Seed Round: Raised $3.2 Million from LightSpeed

Series A: Raised $10 Million led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from LightSpeed.

Their recent funding round closed on May 27, 2025.

With this, they wish to expand more to urban pincodes in Bangalore and start the next phase of their growth.

Will it be able to expand to cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai? Will it be able to make fashion hyperlocal?

One needs to sit back and see how this unfolds.
