Funding Announcement

Pluckk has raised Rs 100 crore in fresh funding from existing investor Euro Gulf Investment. The new capital is expected to support expansion and strengthen its presence in the fresh produce and food tech segment.

Prior to this round, the company had already secured 15 million dollars in total funding, including 5 million dollars in seed investment from Exponentia Ventures. It also expanded through acquisitions such as DIY meal kit platform KOOK and nutrition brand Upnourish.

Why This News Matters

The online fresh produce category has seen multiple shutdowns in recent years despite strong investor backing. Companies such as Otipy, Deep Rooted, and Fraazo exited the market after facing operational and margin challenges.

Against this backdrop, Pluckk’s continued expansion signals renewed confidence in the category, especially with quick commerce emerging as a major growth driver.

What Pluckk Does

Founded in 2021 by Pratik Gupta, Pluckk operates a farm to fork platform delivering fresh produce with a lifestyle positioning.

Its portfolio includes vegan products, low carb alternatives, and functional food options focused on gut health and immunity. The company is targeting urban consumers seeking health oriented daily food choices rather than just basic grocery purchases.

Distribution And Growth Strategy

Pluckk is currently operational in 50 cities and is available across six quick commerce platforms.

Quick commerce contributes nearly 60 to 65 percent of its overall business, while the direct to consumer channel accounts for around 10 to 15 percent. This highlights how instant delivery platforms are becoming central to fresh produce distribution.

Financial Performance

For the financial year ending March 2025, the company doubled its revenue to Rs 85 crore.

However, losses also widened to Rs 55 crore compared to Rs 41 crore in the previous financial year, reflecting the cost intensity of scaling supply chains in the fresh produce segment.

Competitive Landscape

Pluckk competes with players such as Gourmet Garden and Kisankonnect in the online fresh produce market.

Despite the challenges faced by earlier entrants, the company is continuing to invest in expansion, positioning itself at the intersection of health focused food consumption and rapid delivery infrastructure.
