Why In The News?

Bengaluru-based startup MeshDefend has made headlines after raising $2.3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Kalaari Capital, with participation from Kettleborough VC and several industry leaders.

MeshDefend was founded in 2025 by Tejas Pandit and Ravi Chitloor, both former executives at Dell.

The company specialises in building tools that help large organisations manage complex IT environments more efficiently.

Its main product, called Agent Mesh, allows businesses to automate everyday operations, such as data storage, system monitoring, and protection across both cloud and on-premise systems.

The idea is to reduce the manual work required by IT teams and to make enterprise infrastructure more reliable and cost-effective. With a talented team of around 12 members, MeshDefend is positioning itself as a new-age solution provider for enterprise data and infrastructure management.

What does it plan to do with the funds?

MeshDefend plans to use the fresh capital to develop and enhance its Agent Mesh platform, making it more powerful and adaptable for global clients. A significant portion of the funds will go into hiring engineers and expanding its product team in Bengaluru. The company also plans to enter international markets, beginning with the United States and Europe, to serve larger enterprises.

Additionally, MeshDefend aims to build partnerships with global system integrators, managed service providers, and major infrastructure vendors.
