Imagicaaworld Acquires Wet’nJoy Parks to Expand Theme Park Presence

Imagicaaworld Entertainment Ltd., a prominent player in India’s amusement and leisure industry, has made a significant move by acquiring Malpani Group’s Wet’nJoy theme parks in Lonavala and Shirdi for ₹275 crore.

This acquisition not only expands Imagicaaworld’s footprint but also aligns with its vision to enhance entertainment offerings across the country.

Aquiring Wet’nJoy Parks

The acquisition of Wet’nJoy parks adds four operational parks to Imagicaaworld’s portfolio, bringing the total to eight parks and one hotel across Maharashtra.

This strategic move is expected to double footfalls and increase revenue by 1.5 times, as the newly acquired parks are integrated into Imagicaaworld’s operations.

The company’s Q3FY25 results reflect this growth trajectory, with revenue rising to ₹91.86 crore, a 31% increase year-on-year, and footfalls reaching 6.37 lakh, up 72% from the previous year .

Future Expansion Plans 

Looking ahead, Imagicaaworld plans to nearly double its number of parks to 13 by 2030, targeting key cities like Indore, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Delhi . To support this expansion, the company has approved a ₹345 crore fundraise through a preferential issue, with participation from promoters and interest from quality investors .

Additionally, a new water park in Indore is set to commence operations in the coming quarter, further solidifying Imagicaaworld’s commitment to providing diverse entertainment experiences across India.
