The National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed the formal launch of Ideabaaz, India’s first dedicated startup-investor marketplace, designed to bring early-stage entrepreneurs and investors onto a single credible platform. The initiative aims to spotlight innovative ventures, particularly from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and provide them with structured access to funding, mentorship, and professional services such as legal, financial, and compliance support. Organisers highlighted that the marketplace will serve as a transparent ecosystem where startups can showcase their progress and investors can evaluate opportunities with greater confidence.
In a unique format, Ideabaaz will integrate with a reality TV show on Zee TV and Zee5, hosted by popular actor Pratik Gandhi, ensuring nationwide visibility for participating startups. The show will not only highlight business ideas but also provide behind-the-scenes insights into entrepreneurial challenges and growth journeys. Early supporters of the platform include leading investors such as Rishabh Mariwala and Anupam Bansal, who will actively engage as mentors and funders. Academic institutions like IIT Madras (Knowledge Partner) and accelerator Turbo Start (Strategic Partner) have also come on board to strengthen the initiative’s credibility and outreach.
By launching Ideabaaz at the NSE, organizers intend to reinforce the credibility of the startup ecosystem by linking it directly to India’s premier securities exchange. This positioning is expected to encourage broader investor participation, including from first-time angel investors, and democratize access to early-stage capital. The platform has also been designed to track and verify the progress of startups over time, offering transparency and trust to stakeholders. With its nationwide reach, Ideabaaz is expected to play a pivotal role in unlocking entrepreneurial talent beyond metros and building an inclusive innovation economy.
