India has a huge road network of about 63 lakh kilometres, making it impossible to monitor by humans alone.
Because of this, many roads are not maintained properly, causing around 25,000 accidents and 3,000 deaths every year due to potholes.
Only about 2% of the roads are managed by NHAI, and even those are inspected only once in a while.
Most of the network, nearly 72% is rural roads, which often go unchecked. This shows the need for a low-cost, automated, and transparent system that can continuously monitor all types of roads and help improve safety across the country.
