A Seed Round Backed by Global Investors

Indian agentic AI startup Gushwork has raised 9 million dollars in seed funding led by Susquehanna Asia VC. The round also saw participation from Lightspeed, B Capital, Seaborne Capital, Beenext, Sparrow Capital, and 2.2 Capital.

The funding marks an early but strong vote of confidence in the company’s thesis that AI systems are fast becoming the primary gatekeepers of business discovery.

The capital will be used to expand engineering teams, improve agent accuracy, accelerate product development, and scale market expansion efforts.

AI Is Changing How Buyers Choose Vendors

According to Gushwork’s founders, buyer behavior is shifting rapidly. Instead of asking sales representatives or peers for recommendations, buyers are increasingly turning to AI platforms for answers.

Tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini are influencing vendor selection decisions in real time.

Gushwork believes that by 2028, AI recommendations could become the primary way buyers choose vendors. This fundamental shift is reshaping digital marketing strategies.

Building a Swarm of Marketing Agents

Founded by Nayrhit Bhattacharya and Adithya Venkatesh, Gushwork has built a network of autonomous AI marketing agents.

These agents are designed to ensure that business websites are discoverable and cited when AI systems respond to user queries.

The platform combines content creation, distribution, and management into a unified engine that integrates directly with company websites. It continuously adapts as AI models evolve and update.

Why AI Traffic Now Matters

One of the more striking insights shared by the company is the surge in AI agent visits to customer websites.

For every human visit, Gushwork reports seeing multiple AI driven visits. This signals a structural change in how websites need to function. They must now serve two audiences at once. Human users and AI systems that analyze, cluster, and cite information.

Understanding how different AI engines evaluate authority, structure topics, and determine citations forms the core of Gushwork’s technical advantage.

What Comes Next

With fresh capital in place, Gushwork plans to deepen its engineering capabilities and enhance the precision of its AI agents.

As AI driven search and recommendation systems continue to expand, the company is positioning itself as infrastructure for businesses that want to stay visible in an AI first world.
