On the concluding day of the Gujarat Startup Conclave 2025, held at Gandhinagar’s Mahatma Mandir, stakeholders signed 84 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) reflecting potential investments amounting to ₹232 crore into new and emerging ventures.
The two-day summit brought together entrepreneurs, investors, industrialists, and government representatives, aiming to foster innovation and scale up Gujarat’s startup ecosystem.
According to Gujarat’s Higher & Technical Education Minister, Rushikesh Patel, the conclave drew wide participation from across India, with unicorns, venture capitalists, industrialists, and innovators converging to engage, network, and explore collaborations.
The government reported that more than 18,000 entrepreneurs and students attended over the two-day event, while the B2B segment saw over 500 investors, 170 startups, and 125 industrialists engaging in parallel sessions and deal-flow discussions.
Patel emphasised the government’s commitment to nurturing grassroots innovation, noting that region-wise i-Hub centres will soon be rolled out to extend support to youth even in remote districts.
He urged investors to back energy, technology, and fresh ventures that can help India realise its 2047 vision of self-reliance and development.
Malik shared that the inspiration for the venture came from a family member’s medical crisis, when she realized that delayed or inadequate diagnosis often led to worse outcomes. After years of clinical trials involving over 1,500 patients and 11,000 brain scans, BioScan now sells its devices to primary health centres and trauma centres across India, with ~70 units already deployed. The device reportedly provides 95% accuracy and 97% sensitivity, gaining trust from government agencies and clinicians.
As part of the closing address, Minister Patel reiterated that Gujarat’s state government would continue backing emerging ideas with infrastructure, policy support, and funding. He announced the plan to expand i-Hub infrastructure regionally, so that aspiring entrepreneurs, even in remote villages, can access mentorship, prototyping facilities, and funding opportunities closer to home.
Meanwhile, officials believe the MoUs inked offer just the beginning of long-term partnerships. The government hopes many of these commitments convert into actual capital deployment, scaling of operations, and sustainable startups, thereby strengthening Gujarat’s role as a leading innovation hub in India.
