A Fresh Funding Boost For Peping

Bengaluru based FMCG startup Peping has raised Rs 2.5 crore in a funding round led by IAN Angel Fund, the evergreen investment fund of IAN Group. The round also included participation from Signal Ventures, Eleven Eleven, and several angel investors.

The new capital will help the company accelerate its distribution network, strengthen supply chain capabilities, invest in brand building, and introduce new product flavours.

Building Functional Drinks For Everyday Consumption

Founded by Chirag Maheshwari and Prateek Maheshwari, Peping focuses on functional beverages designed for modern Indian consumers.

The company offers low calorie prebiotic fizzy drinks and probiotic digestive shots created for daily consumption. The idea is to combine health benefits with great taste while keeping products accessible and easy to consume.

Rather than positioning itself as a niche health drink brand, Peping aims to create a mass friendly functional soda that aligns with Indian taste preferences.

Two Product Formats For Different Occasions

Peping’s product lineup includes fizzy sodas meant for regular everyday drinking and concentrated digestive shots designed for targeted gut health support.

This dual product approach allows the brand to address different consumption moments. Consumers can enjoy the sodas casually throughout the day while using the digestive shots as a focused wellness option.

Growing Presence Across Retail And Quick Commerce

The brand is already available across several major quick commerce and online grocery platforms including Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, BigBasket, First Club, Namdhari’s, and Ratnadeep.

In addition, Peping products are sold through more than 200 retail outlets across Bengaluru. The company has also expanded into gyms, cafés, and corporate offices through catering partnerships, helping the brand reach health conscious consumers in everyday environments.

Building Operational Control With In House Production

Peping has also invested in its own production facility, built using readily available components to keep costs efficient.

The startup has brought soda canning in house, giving it better control over product quality and margins while scaling its operations. This operational strategy could help the brand move faster as demand grows in the functional beverage category.

What Comes Next

With fresh funding in place, Peping plans to deepen its distribution network, strengthen supply chain infrastructure, and expand its product lineup with new flavours.

As demand for healthier beverage options continues to rise in India, the company is positioning itself as an accessible functional drink brand designed for everyday consumption.
