Marine robotics and underwater inspection startup EyeROV has raised Rs 13 crore in a pre Series A funding round co invested by AWE Funds and Unicorn India Ventures. The fresh capital will support research and development, new product innovation, and operational expansion in India and select international markets.
Founded in 2017, EyeROV operates at the intersection of marine robotics, infrastructure inspection and defence technology. The company designs and deploys remotely operated vehicles and unmanned surface vessels built to function in challenging underwater conditions.
These systems are used for inspection and monitoring across power plants, oil and gas assets, ports, shipping infrastructure, marine research and defence operations.
EyeROV has executed more than 150 underwater inspection projects for over 80 clients. Its customer base includes major industrial groups such as Tata Power, NHPC, Adani Group, ONGC, BPCL and Maersk.
The startup also works closely with defence and government organisations including the Indian Navy, DRDO and the Indian Coast Guard, along with research institutions such as NCPOR and CSIR SERC.
EyeROV integrates non destructive testing payloads into its robotic systems, including ultrasonic testing, sonar imaging and AI driven defect detection. This allows customers to receive real time inspection reports and create digital twins of underwater assets.
The company offers both direct product sales and Robotics as a Service models, serving B2B and B2G customers.
EyeROV is targeting the global underwater infrastructure inspection market, driven by aging assets estimated to be worth over USD 1 trillion. The company estimates a total addressable market exceeding USD 13 billion globally, with India accounting for nearly USD 800 million.
With fresh capital and growing demand for robotics led inspection, EyeROV is preparing for its next phase of scale.
