Fresh Capital To Scale Construction Quick Commerce

Bengaluru based construction and home improvement quick commerce platform HomeRun has raised Rs 60 crore in a Series A round led by Sorin Investments.

Sorin invested Rs 40 crore, with additional participation from Titan Capital Winners Fund, Sparrow Capital, Consumer Collective by Atrium and Helios Holdings.

The funding comes less than two years after the company’s launch in 2024 and signals strong investor interest in digitising India’s building materials supply chain.

Solving A Persistent Procurement Problem

India’s building materials market remains large but highly fragmented. Homeowners and contractors often face unreliable supply, unclear pricing and last minute shortages that lead to labour downtime and rising project costs.

HomeRun is building a tech enabled retail network that delivers branded construction materials within 60 to 90 minutes. The platform offers cement, plywood, electrical, plumbing, hardware, adhesives and finishing products.

By focusing on speed, reliability and transparency, the company aims to reduce uncertainty in procurement and keep projects on schedule.

How The Model Works

The startup operates through a hyperlocal dark store network that allows rapid fulfilment across urban clusters. Its technology stack supports inventory management, demand forecasting and fulfilment reliability.

This structure enables contractors and homeowners to source essential materials quickly, without the delays associated with traditional distributors.

Expansion Plans And Strategic Focus

With the new funding, HomeRun plans to expand product categories, scale its dark store infrastructure and strengthen direct sourcing and supply chain capabilities.

The company will also invest further in technology to improve fulfilment reliability and unit economics.

Beyond infrastructure, HomeRun aims to deepen engagement with contractors, designers and residential communities as it expands into additional cities.

Having refined its operating playbook in Bengaluru, the company now believes the model can be replicated across other dense urban markets.

Why Investors Are Backing The Company

Investors see a significant opportunity in bringing predictability and trust to a sector that has long operated in an unstructured manner.

As construction and renovation activity grows across Indian cities, platforms that combine speed, organised sourcing and operational discipline could become critical infrastructure for the ecosystem.

HomeRun is positioning itself as that layer between fragmented supply and time sensitive demand.
