A Fresh Bet on India’s Grocery Market

Delhi NCR based Elixiir Foods has secured 9 million dollars in seed funding in a round led by 3one4 Capital, with participation from Incubate Fund Asia. The funding marks the formal launch of the company’s ambition to build a large scale omnichannel grocery platform tailored for urban India.

The company has been founded by FMCG veterans Arvind Mediratta and Ambuj Narayan, bringing deep experience in consumer brands and retail execution.

Building an Affordable Premium Grocery Destination

Elixiir Foods is positioning itself as an affordable premium destination across categories such as fresh produce, dairy, meat, poultry, seafood, and daily essentials. Over time, the platform also plans to expand into flours, rice, spices, grains, condiments, snacks, beverages, ready to eat, and frozen foods.

The larger vision is to serve Indian consumers who are increasingly seeking healthier choices and authentic gourmet cuisines, not just from across the country but globally.

Technology and Supply Chain at the Core

At the heart of the model is a technology driven backbone.

Elixiir Foods integrates farm led sourcing with a private label strategy, supported by a centralized wholesale and supply chain platform. Pricing discipline at the wholesale and distribution level is central to its proposition, especially in a market where consumers remain highly value conscious across income segments.

Investors believe that format innovation combined with operational discipline from the start can create durable customer platforms at scale.

A Massive and Growing Opportunity

India’s grocery market represents a total addressable opportunity exceeding 100 billion dollars and continues to grow. As food preferences evolve and demand for quality rises, platforms that can deliver trust, freshness, and consistent pricing are likely to stand out.

Elixiir Foods plans to use the fresh capital to launch its initial operations, strengthen its sourcing and private label supply chains, expand its wholesale and distribution backbone, and build the technology stack required for a density led city rollout.

What Comes Next

With experienced founders and institutional backing, Elixiir Foods is entering a competitive but expanding market. Its focus on sourcing control, private labels, and disciplined distribution suggests a long term play rather than a short term land grab.

The real test will be execution at scale, where supply chain efficiency and customer trust will define success.
